STUDY IN PINK REVIEW S1 E1
Just a normal average guy, John Watson (Martin Freeman) life changes when he meets, well you know who. AND straight away you see how mysterious Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) is, hiding in the shadows of texts. Then the Utterly beautiful face appears upside down!
The episode was gripping, and faced paced, and really let you in to Sherlock's mind, with the texts pooping up on the screen, and how he sees the street as a map when on a foot chase, not forgetting the little signs pop up on a person when he figures them out.
Both actors portray Sherlock and John excellently well. i must admit, Martin Freeman wouldn't of been my first choice, but he does the part justice. then there's Benedict Cumberbatch who, well it has to be said, is the perfect man to play Sherlock. He's got the looks, the hair, the attitude, he's got everything.
But we can't just give the credit to the actors. We mustn't forget the great creators, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the GENIUSES, behind the script. also none of this would have been possible with out the true creator of Sherlock - Sir Arthur Doyle Conan. But, how the writers have brought Sherlock in to the 21st century is truly brilliant!
As I sat down to watch this episode I was skeptical of how gripping it was going to be, considering the feature length of it, being a whopping 90 minutes, and there's me thinking I would loose interest in the first 30 minutes, but in fact it was quite the opposite, I wanted more and more and more. No wait. I never wanted the episode to end!
Definitely worth the watch.... high ratings!!
BLIND BANKER - S1 E2
Sherlock and John's relationship has really seemed to of taken off. with John doing the food shopping, to Sherlock lending him his credit card. They have seemed to of really settled down. extremely humorous as the beginning, with John having a argument with a chip and pin machine, to Sherlock 'hacking' in to John's laptop, because he couldn't be asked to go and get his from his bedroom.
Sherlock is amazingly Enigmatic, like always! With Joohn brainlessly following him, just shows how strong their bond is!The actors really bounce off each other well.
This episode will make you laugh, with John trying to have a relationship, Sherlock bobbing up and down between pillars. Yet you will be on the edge of your seat, in fear, having an adrenaline rush, as Chinese acrobatics try killing John's girlfriend. but don't threat, Sherlock, the hero that he is, saves the day.
If you love Sherlock's rants, like myself, you will adore this episode. Even when hes got a croaky voice, he is still irresistible.
It has to be said, out of the three episodes in series one, this is the weakest, the least favorite in my opinion, but that isn't to say it is bad, or awful, its quite the opposite really!!
Hope you love the thrill of theBlind Banker.....

The Great Game - S1 E3
Right then, this is where it starts getting interesting; tense; the build up we had been waiting for.
Sherlock shooting the wall.
Gayness again!
Right hand man John, KIDNAPPED, raped in bombs.
And a Swimming pool!
What could be better.
Its amazing how much is packed in to this episode, 4 bomb cases, excluding John, Mycroft's case, and a stand off between Sherlock, John and Moriarty in a swimming pool.... leaving us at such a epic epic epic cliff hanger..... DAMN YOU MARK GATISS & STEVEN MOFFAT!! IT SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW....
Best episode out of the series.. so worth the wait, the build up!
All the actors acted brilliantly, no exceptions there. Andrew Scott had big boots to fill, playing the role of Jim Moriarty, but he managed it, in style as well.
So much tension, and drama packed in to this episode, i wouldn't of been surprised if several of the viewers had a heart attack watching this.... hope you're not one of them.....

Best episode of Sherlock is the Unaired pilot - my main reason for this is that you get to see Benedict Cumberbatch in JEANS!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think i may have to agree with you there.... however it is only 55 minutes long, but originally, they were going to do 6 hour long episodes then changed it to 3 one and half hour episodes, so we don't see as much........
